Renowned DNA expert and Professor
Barry Scheck will speak at South Texas College of Law at 4:00 on March 10. Scheck
is the co-director of the Innocence Project and teaches law at the Benjamin Cardozo
School of Law in New York. He will be joined by a panel of experts discussing
the use of DNA and issues that many in law enforcement in Houston face with the
embattled Houston police crime lab. The Fred Parks Lecture Series was created
to honor Fred Parks, a 1937 graduate, whose many gift have played a vital role
in developing the academic environment of the college. Seating in Garrett-Townes
auditorium is on a first-come, first-seated basis. No tickets are required and
the event is free to all.
