Joey Garfield's Breath Control: History of the Human Beat Box
@ Dupree Sculpture Park (2500 Francis at Dowling, next to Flowerman's House)
B.Y.O.Blanket!

Beat boxing is Hip Hop made by the human body alone. No mixers, turntables, and drum machines necessary; just skill, innovation, humor, and a lot of guts. Joey Garfield's Breath Control unearths this key, often overlooked element of Hip Hop, through interviews with beat box masters Emanon, Rahzel, Skratch, Wise, Daddy-o, ShaSha, Click, Biz Markie, Doug E. Fresh, Baba, and Marie Daulne, live performances, and animation.
A human powered evening of music and transportation.

This event is free and open to the public.
