Prior to the recent ballot access campaign of the Green Party of Texas, Don
Cook pledged to shear his lengthy locks and donate them to Locks of Love
after the *successful* completion of said campaign. (Not entirely trusting
of the gods, he did also labor mightily in that cause.) We did not, alas,
get on the ballot this time, but Don was so impressed with the volunteer and
fundraising efforts, and with the prevailing post campaign optimism, that he
in fact believes the next effort will be successful in getting GPTX on the
ballot in 2008! He therefore unilaterally gives the ballot access campaign
of 2006 a pass, and all are invited to come point and laugh at him as his
pate is shorn.
