It's a Fair Elections and Democracy weekend in Houston with three events featuring DAVID COBB, the 2004 Green Party candidate for President.

FRIDAY - September 15, at 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the University of Houston in the Science and Resarch 1 Building at Cullen and entrance 14 to UH, there will be an ELECTORAL REFORM FORUM. No admission charged.

In addition to David Cobb, MICHAEL BADNARIK, Libertarian candidate for President in 2004 and 2006 Candidate for Congress in Texas District 10, who together with Cobb fought for an open and complete recount in Ohio, and JAMES GOODWILLE PIERRE, Director of Election Protection in Houston in 2004, and 2006 Democrat candidate for Harris County Clerk.

Do we still have a democracy? Was the 2004 presidential election also stolen? Was W's count boosted even in Texas, a state guaranteed to go for W anyway, because it would have been too embarassing to win the election and lose the popular vote again? All are invited and encouraged to attend this free event and seek answers to these questions at the ELECTORAL REFORM FORUM.

FREE PARKING at lot 15D, entrance from Holman (see map). Follow the signs to the event. Science and Reseearch 1 is the tall building, directly across Cullen Boulevard.

Sponsored by the Verifiable Vote Coalition, Harris County Green Party, and UH campus Greens.

SATURDAY - September 16, 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm in the Waldorf Astoria Room, second floor of the Hilton at the University of Houston, 4800 Calhoun St. - COMMON GROUND, explores how our undemocratic hinderance of third parties to support a two party system is not only unfair to third parties but limmits our democracy.

In addition to DAVID COBB, MICHAEL BADNARIK will again appear, along with BOB SMITHER, Libertarian Candidate for Congress in Texas District 72.

Participating third parties are: the Libertarian Party, the Constitution Party, the Reform Party, and the Green Party

This event is free, and "heavy" hors d'oeuvres are advertised. COMMON GROUND is sponsored by College libertarians at UH. Check www.lptexas.org/harris for further information on this event.
