to get the Green Party on the ballot in the state of Texas.

Death
Penalty Vigils -- By
June, 2007, the number of people executed under Gov. Perry's watch
exceeded the number killed while George W Bush was governor (he
has graduated summa cum culpae to more horrific killing fields).
As of late October, 2007, Texas had killed 405 inmates, of which
102 came from Harris County (more than any other state; Virginia
has killed 98. In the United States, the count is over 1000 since
reinstatement of capital punishment in 1976. We now have a de
facto moratorium on executions while the US Supreme Court ponders
cruelty. (See Death
Penalty Information Center.) In the past, whenever
Texas planned to kill someone, abolitionists gathered from 5:30
- 6:20 p.m. on the day of each state execution. To learn about
