Calendar
of Petitioning Events 2004
This
is a history opportunities that we posted here. During the campaign,
the page said:
These
are mostly shows, festivals, concerts, races, and so forth. Help coordinate
an event! If you want to set up a table, Adam and Nia make it easy:
Go to HCGP HQ, 818 W. 31st Street, sign out a table and tub full of
material, and DO IT!
For
major events (mostly in BOLD), please call see if there's already a
captain. It's good to arrange a meeting place a half hour before major
events, so folks can get together for coffee, juice, and discussion
of how to work the area. Volunteer to coordinate for your favorite event
- MAKE IT HAPPEN!
NOTE:
If the event you're interested in tabling charges a fee for space, contact
Adam (713-794-0006) and/or
Nathalie (713-880-9929) to
find out whether someone else has already paid that fee, so we don't
pay twice.
Please
go HERE
to find suggestions for places to go on a regular basis to collect petition
signatures. Cherie can help you coordinate this to make sure that everyone
doesn't go to the same place at the same time. Unless appropriate!

Harris County Green Party's favorite son potential presidential
candidate. David Cobb, one of the founders of the Harris County
and Texas Green Parties, will speak this Saturday on "What
ought progressives to do in the 2004 election". David is a
candidate for the Green Party Presidential nomination and a powerful
and inspirational speaker. He'll be preceded by songs and music
from Dino Marcaccio and Anjali Natarajan, whom you may have heard
at the peace march last Saturday. That's 7pm at the Houston Peace
and Justice Center, 2115 Taft, just south of Welch. The Center is
upstairs from the Taft St coffehouse. Don't miss the opportunity
to participate in this critical discussion. |
