This death penalty case incorporates at least four major issues that bear on moral issues inherent in capital punishment:
* Executions of people who were teenagers at the time of the crime
* Suppression of evidence and perjured testimony (crime lab malfeasance; codefendants turning for reduced sentences).
* Adequacy of defense; credibility of prosecutors.
* The appeals process: evidence uncovered after the trial; Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles.
And fifth, apparently improper extradition from California. So many problems, and this is just one case. Please stay alert for current developments. Follow the story below, dig in, and think about what's being done in our name.

Nanon Williams sits on Death Row in Texas, in the Polunsky Unit near Livingston, a couple of hours northeast of Houston and less than an hour east of the execution chamber in the Walls Unit in Huntsville.
In 1992, he was convicted in Harris County (248th District Court) of killing Adonius Collier.
(Nanon was 17 at the time of that murder; Adonius was 19.)
Questions abound about evidence, testimony, plea bargaining, and ineffective counsel.
This kid got a really raw deal. He's a kid no longer; he grew up on death row.
