NON-VIOLENT DIRECT ACTION:Trainings will cover participatory exercises focused on action planning, forming affinity groups, staying calm, de-escalation, street safety, holding space and staying mobile, jail solidarity and trauma and aftercare. These are tools to prepare us to act using a variety of techniques that will increase communication, understanding of power, exploring hopes and fears and exercises to practices nonviolent techniques.
ANTI-OPPRESSION: Training will cover participatory exercises, activities and discussions focused on anti-oppression, anti-discrimination and anti-racism.
DIY T-SHIRT MAKING:Before, after or during workshop, paints, brushes, and stencils will be available as well as materials for making your own stencils. So come early or stay late, think up your favorite slogan and get inventive.We supply the paint; you supply the creativity (and shirt).
