General Membership Meeting

The Harris County Green Party holds a General Membership Meeting on the third Monday of each month from 6:30-8:30 p.m. As of 2006, we meet in the upstairs meeting room of Central Market on the southwest corner of Westheimer and Weslayan. Changes to this schedule or meeting location will be posted on the calendar. Everyone is welcome to attend the General Membership Meeting. Only active members are allowed to vote at the meeting. To be considered an active member, you must have attended at least two other General Membership Meetings.

Meeting Agenda (generic)

The meeting agenda is set by the Steering Committee at the monthly Steering Committee Meeting. A typical meeting will follow an agenda similar to the following:

I. Facilitator Introduction (10 minutes)
    A. Explanation of Meeting Structure
    B. Summary of Harris County Green Party Principles
    C. Individual Introductions

II. Updates on current local activities (15 minutes)

III. State and National briefings (10 minutes)

IV. Treasurer's Report and Fund Collection (5 minutes)

V. Speaker and/or Guests on Featured Topic (30 minutes)

VI. Discussion and Resolution(s) (30 minutes)

VIII. Selection of Co-Facilitator (2 minutes)

IX. Meeting Review and Assessment (3 minutes)

X. General Announcements (10 minutes)
